Embroidery as an artform

These uniquely Indian examples of hand-sewn embroidery elevate fashion like no other embellishment can; big names in Indian couture have actively been pushing the handloom movement as well as supporting traditional artisans so let's hope that this art form is here to stay.
The sari by Payal Singhal and the Manish Malhotra kameez showcase gorgeous embroidery. The rich color and intricate threadwork make the blooms come alive!
