"Kochadaiiyaan" trailer launch

As noted repeatedly, La Rai is in the midst of a long-standing style rut. This time, she surprised us all by not wearing a pastel or gold-toned anarkali suit by go-to design duo Shantanu and Nikhil. While hair and makeup are unchanged, and the long-sleeved anarkali silhouette is par for the course, it's nice to see La Rai choose some darker colors and interesting patterns. How about that embroidered side panel? Love the contrast with the hot pink. Now if only she could be coaxed into the occasional smokey eye and dare I suggest, an up-do?

Kajol, on the other hand, dear girl is really putting in an effort to shake up her famously blah look. Frizzy hair tamed into soft ringlets, and BAM. A red lip! I applaud the bold ensemble as well, though I don't particularly care for it. The pattern seems a bit more duvet cover than skirt, but hey. She's getting out there and mixing things up.

She is fashionable, athletic, and holds a university arts background. Additionally, she herself is a brand new mum, having recently given birth to a baby boy.
As with Wills and Kate, the King and Queen of Bhutan have always shown great respect for their country's cult…
