Shaadi Story: Ahana and Vaibhav's reception

Here's your first look at the lovely bride! I've got to say, out of her mehendi, sangeet, and reception outfits, this is definitely my least favorite. But more on that later (as better photos emerge). This post is about Madam Re. Naturally she stuck by her standard uniform of a classic kanjivaram. She'll get not darts from me on that front. She's got an enviable collection doesn't she? My concern here, is the makeup. It simply is not flattering. And she is gorgeous. So that says a lot in and of itself. Simply put, as we age, we want to look for dewy, luminous makeup. Just a hint of shimmer to soften and blur fine lines, wrinkles, etc. What we should avoid like the plague, is matte, pancake makeup. It is so harsh, and a big-time skin ager in my opinion.

Obviously the flash of the camera doesn't do her any favors. But whether celebrity or not, we all know cameras are a-clickin' at wedding functions, and we must therefore alter our makeup routine as necessary. A photo snapped at Ahana's mehendi party shows us just why we must beware of the flash! And also, blend, blend, blend!!
