Yash Raj launches Diva'ni fashion label

In Bolly-town, at least, we all know that clothes (followed closely by song and dance), often make the movie. So it should come as no surprise that a venerable Bollywood film label such as Yash Raj, has finally decided to cross over into fashion. And who better than heroines (and one hero) past and present to model your wares?

With the exception of Anushka, who wore an elegant black sari, Madam Re who appeared in her kanjeevaram uniform, and Kit Kat, who modeled a very wearable lehenga, I felt the rest of the leading ladies wore overly filmi pieces. The net saris, lehengas, and shararas were less couture, and more costume in nature. Perhaps that's what the folks at Yash Raj were going for.

One note, however. Somebody please bail poor Parineeti out! She is completely overwhelemed. They should have had La Dixit trade her snoozefest of a black net sari with Parineeti's lehenga. La Dixit could carry it with ease.
