Flower Power

Personally, I'm not a fond of busy floral patterns, but a subdued palette can make almost anything work. I feel Bebo wore this suit well by balancing the busyness of the anarkali with soft makeup and a chignon. The only change I'd make to her look at the Malabar jewelry launch would be to swap a pair of strappy sandals or nude pumps (a la KMiddy) in lieu of those platform wedges.

On the other hand, Sameera is a master class in how not to wear a busy floral print. At the launch of Neeta Lulla's latest collection, she opted for a rather juvenile jumper which she paired with neon accessories. While I don't love the idea of throwing in a crazy pop of color here, I'd let it pass if she stopped at one piece. But no. She opted for matching her handbag to that necklace and topping it off with those clunky heels. Sameera, take a cue from Mrs. NoP or even better, from the very stylish Ms. Lulla standing right next to you.

So who is this Himalayan Queen? At 25-years-old, she is the youngest Queen Consort in the world. Like Kate, she was a commoner (though with an aristocratic lineage) and the daughter of a pilot. She is fashionable, athletic, and holds a university arts background. Additionally, she herself is a brand new mum, having recently given birth to a baby boy.
As with Wills and Kate, the King and Queen of Bhutan have always shown great respect for their country's cult…
