Star Fest.

At long last. A real star studded affair. The premiere for Mausam drew out some of our faves from the Bolly sphere. Conspicuously absent were all of the Khans (Saifeena being understandably so) and the Bachchan brigade. But I'm a glass half full kind of girl, so let's focus on the gang that was in attendance.
Our dapper leading man with his super fashionable leading lady.
Sonam wears this girlie-girl Prabal Gurung with such élan!
Rani's attire is disappointing to say the least. But how nice of her to
offer to hold Sonam's clutch for her. What's that? That's her clutch? I don't understand how hot pink even remotely complements Rani's dress.

Impeccable if a trifle boring. Can't blame them though.
It's Shahid and Sonam's night after all.
What is going on with that sequined panel on Ritesh's shirt?
Ritesh's "special friend" Genelia D looks lovely in this
colorful Nishka Lulla chania choli. Just in time for Navratri
because GD looks like she's ready to bust some garba moves
on the red carpet.

Yawn. I dunno. Not a big fan of gold lamé.
Tabu, what the hell is this?! Why did you take
a pair of scissors to a perfectly good sari?
Paris had the sari-as-a-gown look down better than you.
That's right, Paris. As in Hilton. As in standard bearer
for all that is tacky.
Allright, Sonakshi. I'll give you this one. Though I don't
love the drab olive, you do look polished.
Channeling Betty Boop are we, Kangana?
This photo doesn't do justice to how horrendous
Ayesha's bizarre, sequined get up really is.

But never fear, this one does! Those are leggings.
She is wearing flippin' leggings on a red carpet with
a short top and even shorter cropped blazer. This girl does not
comprehend proportions does she? Can you imagine what the
rear view must be like? Horrors!
What a satiny, slip of a disappointment, Vids.
The clutch and bangles are money though!
Speaking of satiny slips, here's Amisha with her take on the same.
No risks here, but Amrita looks lovely.
Lesson to Sonakshi: if you're gonna go with boring olive
then go wild with a fitted mini like Soniya. This girl
loves her some quirkiness - those roided up
rosettes are just crazy!
I like the orange/pink color blocking and the pink/black color blocking.
But together, on one dress, it's jarring. Plus, I gotta ask
Shraddha how many curtain panels died in the making of this dress.
Hmmm. Blazer over ill-fitting mock neck and weird wash
jeans? Not working, Shivdasani!
Madam Shabana nails it per ush. Loving the statement
necklace and colorful bag; they really pop against
that lovely cream sari.
And we'll end this one with a real snoozefest. Priyanka looks chic
but so, terribly boring. Both are way too cas for a film premiere.

Meet Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan

The young, beautiful, and fashionable Queen of Bhutan, a country secluded from the world's limelight due to its remoteness, has already been generating a stir ever since her marriage to the King and her rise to the position of Queen Consort. She is a powerhouse in her own right, and much loved by the Bhutanese people. However, on a fun and superficial level, she has also drawn favorable comparisons to the Duchess of Cambridge, so much so, that she is sometimes referred to as the "Kate Middleton of the Himalayas".
So who is this Himalayan Queen? At 25-years-old, she is the youngest Queen Consort in the world. Like Kate, she was a commoner (though with an aristocratic lineage) and the daughter of a pilot. She is fashionable, athletic, and holds a university arts background. Additionally, she herself is a brand new mum, having recently given birth to a baby boy.
As with Wills and Kate, the King and Queen of Bhutan have always shown great respect for their country's cult…

Two Faced Mascara Melt-Off

**UPDATED** We all love mascara that doesn't budge, but who enjoys nightly battles with mascara removal? Not I. Which is why I was excited to give this product a whirl. It promises quick, easy, and effective mascara removal. I simply applied a coat to my lashes using the kind of wand you would expect for lower lash mascaras. I let the product remain on my lashes as I washed my face (approx. two minutes). I used a cotton pad soaked in my favorite eye-makeup remover to gently sweep off the mascara.
The Mascara Melt-Off definitely speeds up the mascara removal process, with significantly less tugging and rubbing of lashes. I felt that the results were a more thorough mascara removal than makeup remover alone.

That said, the directions stated to use a cotton pad to wipe off the mascara; but I found that you most definitely need to soak the pad in your usual remover. Also, I should note that I tested it on non-waterproof mascara. I have no idea how effective it would be in the case of …

Coming to a Screen Near You: Freida Pinto.

So not only is this lass charming fashion houses the world over, Freida is racking up the film offers! We already know Freida's been tapped for Woody Allen's next project. Now, The Sun is breaking news that Freida has been asked to audition for the next Bond film which is reportedly likely to be directed by none other than Danny Boyle. I may be biased, but I think fab Freida would make one fierce Bond Girl! This is one rumor I hope comes to fruition. Daniel Craig + Freida Pinto = must-see Bond flick.
