Shaadi Story.

The guest list at the wedding reception of Manish Tiwari and Payal Gidwani, yoga pros to the stars, was a veritable who's who of Bollywood's svelte celebs. Held at the ITC Grand Maratha, it was certainly a glitzy affair. The bride wore a heavy duty Seema Roy "dhoopchhau" hot pink lehnga paired with Roopa Vohra jewels.Sridevi departed from your typical Indian wedding attire (read: panoply of color) in a gunmetal grey sari. The sari color was definitely unusual, but it wasn't gaudy and as always, Sri wore it well. I particularly loved the ombre effect on the sari which was heightened by those oh-so-perfect pleats. She chose to add a pop of color to her sober sari with rubies in her delicate diamond necklace. Great choice! A not so great choice was her cream and gold Rodo clutch. While I love the clutch, I couldn't help but thinking it would have looked much better paired with countless other saris we've seen Sri wear. But that said, her hair was flawless, makeup, impeccable, and jewels, superb!Tulip Joshi, was certainly on the guest list, but appeared to be more of a wedding crasher. Her printed mini gives her the appearance of accidentally stumbling into a glitzy wedding reception. Also, her rather half-awake facial expression adds to that amusing effect. The fugliest sari award (you know there can't be a desi shaadi without this award!) clearly goes to Neha Oberoi. There is just too much going on here: fluorescent colors, massive embroidery, unkempt hair and bright orange nail polish to boot. On the other hand, Kunika was every inch the lady in her gold, silk sari.Photo Source.
