AdWatch: Streax.

Malaika - known in Bollywood more for her minis than her hair - is the brand ambassador for Streax hair colour. Here's a look at her latest print ad. Now, if I'm not mistaken, the object of using a star in an advertisement is to make the star look fabulous and thus encourage consumers to purchase the product. One look at this ad, and I cringe. Her hair is way too blonde for her complexion. It looks unnatural and awful. Does this ad make you want to rush out and buy a bottle of Streax? Not me. Not at all.

i did this to myself when i was 16, and it looked so bad that i toned it over with brown!

My thoughts, exactly! I too went through a similar phase but even at that age, we realized it looked awful. So what's wrong with these people that they don't get it?
