Sari Draping 101.

For all those starlets in need of remedial sari draping lessons, take a cue from Sonali Bendre who appeared on the Indian Idol finale impeccably draped in a lavender sari with alternating pink and orange border. Notice how crisp her pleats are, and (ahem, Manisha) how the pallu lies flat on her shoulder.Photo Source.
She also didn't go overboard with the jewelry since the sari itself is not only bright, but has quite a bit of work. Sonali opted for a simple kundan set. Her makeup look consisted of bringing a light touch of pink and purple to her eye lids to coordinate with her sari, kohl-rimmed eyes with mascara, a light dusting of blush and a nude-pink gloss.Photo Source.
