Ehhh.

Taking a break from shaadi-talk for a moment, Neetu Chandra attended the Gitanjali Derby at Mahalakshmi Racecourse in a colorful maxi dress that generates an "ehhh" response from me. Here's why. I like the way the dress fits Neetu (obv, it's a maxi), and the sunset-inspired colors are lovely. What I dislike is the print - it seems too busy when coupled with the color and takes the maxi precariously close to hawaiian shirt territory. The red plastic detailing on the straps when taken with the yellow earrings Neetu has chosen, make the whole look rather matchy matchy. I actually like the teased her on Neetu - it looks cas yet refined. Her overall look: I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. Whaddaya think?Photo Source.

meh.. i think she should have ditched those awful earrings, and maybe accessorized with a mixture of skinny & chunky wooden bangles. You're right.. that maxi is on the verge of being tacky.

Oooo yes, the wooden bangles would have been a nice - non-matchy - touch. I really wanted to like this one ... alas. ;)

Meet Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan

However, on a fun and superficial level, she has also drawn favorable comparisons to the Duchess of Cambridge, so much so, that she is sometimes referred to as the "Kate Middleton of the Himalayas".
So who is this Himalayan Queen? At 25-years-old, she is the youngest Queen Consort in the world. Like Kate, she was a commoner (though with an aristocratic lineage) and the daughter of a pilot. She is fashionable, athletic, and holds a university arts background. Additionally, she herself is a brand new mum, having recently given birth to a baby boy.
As with Wills and Kate, the King and Queen of Bhutan have always shown great respect for their country's cult…
