Back To Work.

After the whirlwind shaadi events came to an end, the ladies of Bollywood returned to "work." Oh how I envy the lifestyle! At the Samira Habitats Presents "ARAAISH" event, Twinkle returned to true form by pairing her statement Native American-inspired necklace with dark denims, a matte neutral brown cami, and a matte vest that pulled the teal color from the necklace. So. Much. Better. Than. Before.Anu Deewan attended toting yet another Birkin. Ok, we get it. You're loaded. Now change it up a bit! We've seen the Birkin in so many colors on her arm! I'll probably be pilloried for saying it, but I am not a fan of the Birkin. There. I said it. I feel like a weight has been lifted. It is a polished bag - no doubt - and a great sized tote at that, but those useless short handles ruin it for me. IMHO, small bags look appropriate carried on the arm like that; these shopper style totes belong on the shoulder. Though undoubtedly luxe, the impractability of this bag does nothing to justify the hefty price tag. Alright, Birkin lovers, I've said my piece, let's hear yours!Tanisha Mukherjee (sis of Kajol) - known for her questionable style sense - is making her first appearance on this blog. She really should take a cue from PZ who was trés chic even with her sleeves rolled up, saving the planet. A flimsy white cotton MNG by Mango racerback tank paired with a white bra and what appear to be drawstring pajama pants, do not qualify for event appropriate attire, even for an outdoor, daytime event. Listen up, T, the cardinal rule is when you wear a white top, always pair it was a nude - not white - bra! Her sloppy style along with her hair and fresh scrubbed face, give her the appearance of literally rolling out of bed! Sophie fared better in the cas department.Let's end this on a positve note, my favorite look at this event was by far the lovely Mana Shetty in a fun frock with a big, bold print. I love!Photo Source.

Meet Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan

The young, beautiful, and fashionable Queen of Bhutan, a country secluded from the world's limelight due to its remoteness, has already been generating a stir ever since her marriage to the King and her rise to the position of Queen Consort. She is a powerhouse in her own right, and much loved by the Bhutanese people. However, on a fun and superficial level, she has also drawn favorable comparisons to the Duchess of Cambridge, so much so, that she is sometimes referred to as the "Kate Middleton of the Himalayas".
So who is this Himalayan Queen? At 25-years-old, she is the youngest Queen Consort in the world. Like Kate, she was a commoner (though with an aristocratic lineage) and the daughter of a pilot. She is fashionable, athletic, and holds a university arts background. Additionally, she herself is a brand new mum, having recently given birth to a baby boy.
As with Wills and Kate, the King and Queen of Bhutan have always shown great respect for their country's cult…

Looking for a DiorShow Extase dupe

Getting 3 kiddos fed, dressed, and out the door on time on school mornings, is challenging on a good day. Between prepping breakfasts, packing lunches, double checking bags for homework, and generally refereeing Big A and S while simultaneously holding or nursing Little A, means I have precious little time to make myself presentable. As a result, mascara has taken the front and center stage of my makeup routine for rushed mornings because who has time to carefully paint on eyeliner?!
1. DiorShow Extase (discontinued) 2. IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara
I was crushed when Dior discontinued their Extase mascara. I adored it. The brush had the perfect shape, and unlike DiorShow or Blackout, this formulation was amenable to multiple, clump-free coats. Unfortunately, none of the current offerings in the Dior mascara lineup feature a similar brush to Extase. IT Cosmetics offered a comparable brush and sounded like it might be a good dupe. On the positive side, the m…

Two Faced Mascara Melt-Off

**UPDATED** We all love mascara that doesn't budge, but who enjoys nightly battles with mascara removal? Not I. Which is why I was excited to give this product a whirl. It promises quick, easy, and effective mascara removal. I simply applied a coat to my lashes using the kind of wand you would expect for lower lash mascaras. I let the product remain on my lashes as I washed my face (approx. two minutes). I used a cotton pad soaked in my favorite eye-makeup remover to gently sweep off the mascara.
The Mascara Melt-Off definitely speeds up the mascara removal process, with significantly less tugging and rubbing of lashes. I felt that the results were a more thorough mascara removal than makeup remover alone.

That said, the directions stated to use a cotton pad to wipe off the mascara; but I found that you most definitely need to soak the pad in your usual remover. Also, I should note that I tested it on non-waterproof mascara. I have no idea how effective it would be in the case of …
